Model, simulate, and tape-out photonic devices for cutting-edge technologies. Create and test prototypes using photonic components (waveguides, modulators, lasers, etc.) to ensure top-tier performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to merge photonics with microwave and RF systems. Work on innovative projects like free-space optics, Radio over Fiber, and optical beamforming. Optimize designs to maximize performance, stability, and minimize losses. Contribute to technical documentation and participate in design reviews. Qualifications: Master’s degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Photonics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field. Expertise in microwave engineering, optical communication, and photonics integration. Experience with simulation tools (e.g., Zemax, COMSOL, VPI Photonics). Knowledge of RF design principles and high-frequency circuits. Practical experience with testing Photonics Integrated Circuits (PICs) using lab instruments.
