What you will do
The Process Improvement Engineer Intern will support in the following activities:
·Supports production for machinability issues and analyzes problems relating to packaging materials, with measuring instruments.
·Identifies improvement opportunities and gives support on improvement opportunities and technical support, tracks performance and analyzes deviations;
·Implements and sustains the performance control system (KPIs), defines and leads kaizen groups and coordinates / tracks action plans;
·Plans and conducts activities related to the development of new processes including researching current and emerging technologies, evaluating process cost, quality, and capability alternatives, and performing process characterization and optimization using designed experiments, and problem solving and decision-making tools;
·Defines productivity projects and associated investment (if needed), making feasibility reports and calculating profitability and Pay-back;
·Participates in comprehensive engineering activities to develop and implement effective, high quality processes and design guidelines for dissemination throughout the division and provides moderately complex design reviews and feedback for improvements in production;
·Implements equipment, materials, and process performance requirements, performs vendor searches and equipment evaluation to ensure adequate capability to produce quality products in required quantities at an effective cost;
·Facilitates experiments and capability studies, develops process specifications, and designs and procures process tools.
·Evaluates and advises on the selection of suitable equipment for optimized, balanced line performance.
·Processes analyses of new systems and equipment with the intent of achieving continuous improvement of present methods.
·Edits and publishes process documentation and training materials for processes, materials and equipment.
Qualifications
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
·Master's Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering;
·Preferable knowledge in Lean manufacturing.
·Preferable knowledge of Lean/ SixSigma / 5S methodology is highly recommended;
·Upper-intermediate in English;
·Proven knowledge in MSOffice package.
