We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team. Working in close connection with the RD scientists, the successful candidate will actively work on integrating the main process equipment into the plant layout. Dedicated time will be spent to define the main process equipment mechanical features. The Mechanical Engineer will also be responsible of interacting with potential suppliers, aligning technical offers and following up selected placed orders till their dispatchment at site. It will support and directly act on the Plant 3D Model to define layouts and piping routings. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to follow up the whole pilot plant mechanical development and the subsequent scalability of the same by analyzing its performances.Key Responsibilities:Analyze plants mechanical feasibility through conceptual 3D models verifying they will achieve the required performance, safety and project standard.Select static equipment, rotating equipment and associated auxiliary equipment requirements, as well as operating and maintenance procedures.Assist in defining constructability schemes and sequences.Develop project specifications, bid packages, work execution packages.Perform vendors’ offers alignment, technical bid evaluations, subcontractor works descriptions alignment.Define mechanical and piping design basis.Support the development of new company standards and calculation models.Integration of the mechanical systems developed and management of the Pilot Plant 3D model.Perform piping stress analysis.Provide direct or indirect support by gathering data for permit applications, submitting documentation to public offices and related duties.Perform post-order technical follow up directly interacting with vendors.Provide commissioning and startup assistance.Collaborate with external partners, such as research institutions.Requirements:At least 3 years of working experience.Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field.Experience with Material Order technical follow-up and Vendor relationship.Experience with a CAD mechanical software (Solid Edge is a plus).Experience with AutoCAD LT and Office Package.Excellent problem-solving skills.Great teamwork and communication abilities.Fluent in professional English.Enthusiastic about broadening his/her technological expertise.Knowledge of vacuum systems and carbon capture technology is a plus.Our offer:A purpose-driven company with the exciting mission to fight climate change on solid scientific ground.Competitive salary and additional remuneration benefits, including meal vouchers and a company welfare program.Opportunity for professional and personal growth.Work flexibly, either remotely or at our HQ in Turin city center.Inclusive working environment, with an attention to work-life balance.Please submit your resume and cover letter detailing your relevant qualifications and experiences to recruiting@carpecarbon.com.
