Job Description
* Preparing service-winning proposals (budgetary & firm) to achieve yearly budget.
* Meeting customers’ priorities in terms of time schedule with technically compliant competitive bidding.
* Managing the assigned tendering workload inclusive of diversified enquiries and associated deadlines through SPEAK update & follow-up.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Technical analysis of customer needs/RFQ to define and offer products/solutions for GIS & AIS substations, including preliminary design/drawing for integrated networks utilizing different equipment.
* Ensure compliant offers to the technical specifications in accordance with tender requirements.
* Identify & flag key risks and ensure the mitigation plan in the Risk & Opportunity register.
* Manage & implement the return of experience (ROE).
* Ensure proposals are in accordance with commercial and execution strategies, meeting yearly order intake targets.
* Ensure technical derogation and approvals are intact, if applicable, for finalizing the technical solution.
* Ensure completion of site assessments (site visit/review) for brownfield/existing substations & site.
* Maintain typical circuits/schemes/solutions in the tendering tool to facilitate future offerings.
* Ensure respect of technical and commercial offers time schedule to serve sales force in due time while maintaining high-quality level of bids.
* Review and respond to technical clarifications of bids and present the solution to the customer.
* Support order booking as per signed contract/PO, ensuring budget margins & driving an improved operations turnover process.
* Support the sales team in commercial and technical meetings/negotiations with customers.
* Update the offer management systems, IT platform (SPEAK).
Bidding Process Compliance:
* Ensure complete bid management phases (inclusive of proper risk assessments) to ensure compliance with the company's policy & instructions (from the receipt of enquiry from the customer till the order).
* Conduct different tender reviews internally with all stakeholders for proper validations as per targeted tender due dates.
* Conduct transfer meeting and hand over relevant documents to the operations team.
Costing and Pricing Analysis:
* Review and maintain tendering hit rate (submission %age and win rate with quality bids).
* Responsible for review and analysis of cost and price preparation & calculations.
* Responsible for having formal quotes of third-party products/systems and updating in the tendering tool in line with sourcing.
* Responsible for ensuring correct costing in the estimation tool in accordance with latest updates.
* Cost optimization & risk analysis: challenge product/solution costs and delivery costs in tenders.
* Conduct commercial/technical win-loss analysis of bids.
Performance Indicators:
* Delivery of offers on time.
* Autonomy in data collection, costing & offer approval.
* Ensure workload target in terms of offer submissions & priorities.
Skills & Experience:
* Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree with a professional experience of 5 years.
* Relevant experience in quotes, technical-commercial offers, and SAP system knowledge will be considered a plus.
* Strong technical and intellectual adaptability to quickly assimilate products and costing processes.
* Knowledge of the business sector.
* Computer skills.
* Fluency in Italian & English.
