Renishaw Spa is the Italian subsidiary that markets and supports all Renishaw products in Italy and abroad: following a growth of operations of the group and its associates in the position and motion control sector, we are looking for a new teammate to join us as an Industrial Automation Applications Engineer, based in Italy.
The role
This opportunity is aimed at individuals with experience in installing and supporting industrial robots in the field. The role requires the ability to support manufacturers, integrators and end users in applying and using our devices for robot process control and calibration, and also to provide support to our sales network during pre-sales activities.
Main responsibilities
1. Install and commission Renishaw process control and calibration devices for robots, including software.
2. Provide pre-sales and post-sales support to Renishaw products for robotics.
3. Demonstrate hardware and software products, also at customer site, in cooperation with the sales network or independently.
4. Provide training to customers, also at their site.
5. Liaise with the UK headquarters and the EMEA Group infrastructure, to constantly improve own knowledge and develop special applications.
6. Act as an ambassador for this technology.
Key requirements
1. Technical high school diploma or scientific or engineering university degree.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in field installing and supporting one or more of the major industrial robots brands.
3. Frequent travel in Italy and occasionally abroad is expected.
4. Fluent Italian and English (spoken and written).
5. IT literacy.
6. Organised, self-motivated individual, with good written and verbal communication skills.
7. Methodical and systematic approach to problem solving.
8. Ability to remain confident in customer facing environments.
9. Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
10. Commercial awareness.
11. Category B driving license.
Desirable requirements
1. Background of working at an integrator or at a robot OEM.
2. Knowledge of technical and electrical drawings, and of mechanical machining.
3. Knowledge of systems and methods for industrial metrology.
4. Resident in North-Western Italy.
