The Opportunity
On behalf of our client, a global and innovation-driven company operating across multiple geographies, we are seeking a Global HR Cost Controller to join the Global Total Rewards function.
This is a key role that sits at the intersection of Finance, HR, and Business Strategy, ensuring the alignment of people costs with the company’s broader financial goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Cost Control & Budgeting:
* Oversee and monitor HR-related costs across all geographies, ensuring alignment with strategic financial targets.
* Analyze payroll, benefits, recruitment, and training costs to drive efficiency and identify savings opportunities.
* Partner with regional HR teams to ensure coherence with local plans and global directives.
* Conduct variance analyses and provide insights to senior leadership.
* Workforce Planning & Forecasting:
* Support headcount planning and scenario modeling, factoring in cost implications and market trends.
* Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Legal Entities to ensure data-driven decisions.
* HR Financial Reporting & Compliance:
* Deliver accurate, periodic reporting on global HR costs.
* Ensure adherence to local and international compliance standards, including labor law and tax obligations.
* Process Improvement & Optimization:
* Identify and lead cost optimization initiatives within HR processes and systems.
* Collaborate with HRIS and IT to implement automation and improve cost tracking.
* Stakeholder Engagement:
* Act as a financial partner to HR, Finance, and Executive Teams.
* Present findings and recommendations clearly and persuasively to leadership.
Your Background
* Experience:
* 5-7 years of experience in HR controlling, workforce planning, or finance within international environments.
* Proven track record in multi-country operations, ideally within pharma or similar regulated industries.
* Education:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, HR, or related field.
* Fluent in English (B2/C1).
* Skills & Competencies:
* Strong analytical mindset with a strategic vision.
* Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP, HRIS, and BI tools.
* Exceptional interpersonal skills, able to influence cross-functional teams.
