Offer Description
Integrative AI is considered one of the most promising approaches to realise future Artificial Intelligence systems able to produce trustworthy predictive models. It combines the effectiveness of Machine Learning approaches with the transparency of Logic-based systems. Integrative AI architectures have been investigated for a number of domains (e.g., in computer vision) but are not deeply investigated in the construction of predictive models for temporal event data.
To achieve this, the applicant will work on two tasks:
1. Definition of novel integrative AI techniques for the training of predictive models for temporal event data using temporal background knowledge. This investigation will start from recent work that aims to combine Deterministic Finite Automata (DFAs) with numeric approaches such as generic algorithms or Recurrent Neural Networks.
2. Implementation of the developed technique and assessment of the feasibility of the approach.
