Job Description Summary
Nadara is a global renewable energy company and one of Europe’s largest independent power producers. In the UK, Nadara has over 1GW of operational onshore wind.
Reporting to the Head of Global HSQE, the HSQE Manager Italy will be responsible for the coordination of Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental for Italy. The HSQE Manager will set up and monitor an ongoing and dynamic approach to Health & Safety, Quality, and Environment, supporting the operation of Nadara wind and solar farms.
The HSQE Manager will work closely with global and local teams, including Asset Maintenance, Asset Management, as well as external consultants and contractors, to drive a strong HSQE culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and continuously improve safety and environmental performance across Nadara’s operations in Italy.
Location: The candidate must be based in Italy, ideally Milan.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain and ensure the implementation of HSQE policies and procedures.
2. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in terms of health and safety, also through the assumption of the appointment as Dirigente Delegato pursuant to Italian legislative decree for Italian companies within the Nadara perimeter.
3. Develop and oversee action plans for preventive and corrective activities at wind and solar farms.
4. Implement and coordinate emergency procedures.
5. Monitor and supervise contractors to ensure compliance with legal and Nadara requirements.
6. Support Nadara’s local organizations in ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
7. Provide guidance to colleagues and contractors on method statements, safe systems of work, updated legislation, and best practices across jurisdictions.
8. Define and implement HSQE training plans at the local level.
9. Contribute to the development of company-wide HSQE policies, guidelines, procedures, objectives, and KPIs.
10. Manage, monitor, and analyze HSQE performance data.
11. Investigate and respond to accidents and incidents, conducting thorough investigations and identifying areas for improvement.
12. Support hazard identification, risk evaluation, and control of occupational and environmental risks.
13. Participate in designing initiatives to promote environmental and safety awareness internally and externally.
14. Hold regular meetings with global and local functions to assess HSQE needs and provide support at both corporate and local levels.
15. Review and validate HSQE requirements in contracts.

Skills & Knowledge

Relevant Experience
1. Minimum 7 years of experience in HSE management in the renewable energy sector, particularly wind and solar.
2. Experience working with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 9001 management systems.
3. Experience in developing and implementing safety and environmental procedures.
4. Experience in conducting site inspections and audits.
Education & Qualifications
1. Degree in Engineering, preferably Environmental Engineering.
2. Occupational Health & Safety Diploma (RSPP).
3. Internal auditor on ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, and knowledge of ISO 9001.
4. Qualification for carrying out safety training is preferred.
5. Fluent in Italian and English.
6. Driver’s license.
