Job Summary
Manage a group of experienced technical writers to produce customers' operation and maintenance documentation. Ensure on-time provision of O&M deliverables and milestones in accordance with project schedule and budget. Ensure preparation and delivery of Operation & Maintenance Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalog, and Training Program Plan.
Accountabilities:
* Manage a group of experienced technical writers to produce customers' operation and maintenance documentation
* Ensure on-time provision of O&M deliverables and milestones in accordance with project schedule and budget
* Ensure preparation and delivery of Operation & Maintenance Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalog, and Training Program Plan
* Ensure the preparation of Technical specifications for subcontractor's manuals and training courses
* Ensure Technical Writers internal teams effectively prioritize high-priority feature release work with other content, experience, and process improvements
* Develop an understanding of how our customers use the manuals and what content needs are helpful
* Review and implement customer feedback
* Identify opportunities for process improvement, including new editor software, and coordinate the implementation and communication of these changes
* Ensure the review of operation and maintenance manuals delivered by the subcontractors
* Participate in projects, bidding, and delivery phases within project schedule
Required Skills/Knowledge:

* 2-5 years' experience as a project manager or people manager with a technical documentation team
* Minimum 3 years' railway system engineering experience and knowledge of the integrated systems that comprise a metro system
* Ability to develop a working knowledge of technical products, processes, and applications
* Ability to learn new technical skills quickly
* Knowledge and experience in application of the railway Technical-Logistic support documentation, associated with any technical system, either rolling stock and/or a rail vehicle
* International experience and ability to manage international projects
* Knowledge and ability to review maintenance documentation from sub-suppliers
* Techniques and ways to handle the relationship with a supplier in an integrated supply chain approach
* Willing to cover a global role
