Position Title: Mechanical Engineer - Specializing in Elasticity, Mechanical Properties, Contact Mechanics, and Failure Analysis
Job Description:As a Mechanical Engineer at Smartgyro, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and improving Gyrostabilizers with a focus on rotating part design, bearing arrangement, mechanical properties, structural analysis, and failure analysis. Your expertise in FEM analysis, bearing dynamics will be crucial in ensuring the reliability and performance of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and develop mechanical components and systems using CAD software (PTC Creo).
* Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
* Perform simulations and analyses to validate designs.
* Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to ensure designs are producible and meet quality standards.
* Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
* Prepare technical documentation and reports.
* Perform failure analysis to identify root causes and develop solutions to prevent recurrence.
* Analyze and optimize bearing arrangement to enhance system performance.
* Investigate bearing dynamics and cage failure to improve reliability and longevity.
* Prepare technical reports and documentation to support engineering projects.
* Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in mechanical engineering.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* Proven experience in mechanical design and development, FEM analysis, bearing dynamic, and failure analysis.
* Proficiency in CAD software.
* Proficiency in using engineering software tools for analysis and simulation.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
* Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
* Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
* Knowledge of bearing stiffness, roller skewing, bearing life, bearing dynamics, and cage failure
