Generate the seafarers and shore-based employees’ payroll (administration & payroll officer). Contribute to monthly salary review and to related administrative declarations. In order to achieve this, you will need to: Record and control inputs in our payroll system; Record/import all necessary pay elements such as travel expenses, medical expenses, loan, training, deduction and applicable bonus; Calculate performance and area bonus, allotments if necessary; Conduct monthly checks of negative balances and report as required; Liaise with the crew department for any discrepancy and/or any clarification needed; Prepare salary instructions files to send to bank; Ensure prompt reply to seafarers to any questions concerning wages (client satisfaction); Ensure salary has been well executed and provide payment confirmation upon request; Support through the provision of accurate information for invoices to be set out; and Perform any other cognate duties as may be assigned by Management. The Payroll Officer reports hierarchically to the Payroll Manager. Qualifications, Skills and Experiences Candidate’s profile: Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Business Administration, Human Resource, or Accounting/payroll; Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Payroll Officer performing operations linked with foreign currency transactions; Knowledge of Marine Industry and/or oil and gas industry will be a plus; In-depth knowledge and understanding of all related payroll topics; Handle sensitive data with integrity, confidentiality, and the utmost discretion; Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office/Excel skills; Proactive, dynamic and versatile; Good listening and communication skills; Attention to detail and rigor; Able to prioritize matters and meet deadlines in a timely manner; Ability to work independently and be comfortable working in a multicultural environment; A perfect command of French and English is mandatory.
