Role Summary
A Sommelier at Zuma Capri is responsible for pairing exceptional wines and sakes with unforgettable dining experiences, ensuring seamless service, optimizing sales, and delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Pair wine and sake with menu offerings to enhance the overall dining experience.
* Maintain extensive knowledge of wine and sake varieties, including their origin, production methods, and flavor profiles.
* Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent quality and availability of wine and sake inventory.
* Collaborate with servers and bartenders to provide expert recommendations and ensure seamless service.
* Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
* Stay up-to-date on industry developments, trends, and regulations to maintain a competitive edge.
Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years of experience as a sommelier or in a related role.
* Exceptional knowledge of wine and sake varieties, including their origin, production methods, and flavor profiles.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, management, and customers.
* Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
* Wine and sake certifications (e.g. WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers) are highly desirable.
