The following can participate in the aforementioned selection procedure:
1. Candidates in possession of the national scientific qualification, pursuant to art. 16, of Law no. 240/2010, for the Academic Recruitment Field (S.C.) as reported in DM 855/2015 corresponding to the GSD, pursuant to DM 639/2024 referred to in this call, and for the functions subject to this proceeding, or for higher office, provided that they are not already holders of the same higher functions;
2. Professors already in service at other Italian universities, in the bracket corresponding to that for which the selection is announced;
3. Scholars permanently engaged abroad in research or teaching at university level, in a position of equal level to those covered by the announcement, on the basis of correspondence tables, updated every three years, defined by the MUR, after consulting the CUN.
Those who, at the time of submitting the application, have a degree of kinship or affinity, up to and including the fourth degree, with a professor belonging to the Department requesting the activation of the post or structure that performs the call or with the Rector, the General Manager or a member of the Board of Directors of the University of Parma, are excluded from participation.
The requirements for admission must be met on the expiry date of the deadline for submitting the application.
Teaching Activities
The selected candidate will be assigned teaching responsibilities to cover courses in the Scientific-Disciplinary Sector CEAR-03/C - Real estate appraisal and investment valuation (formerly ICAR/22), with a workload not less than the minimum required by current laws and the university's academic regulations. Currently, the sector offers core courses within the degree program in Architecture, Regeneration, and Sustainability, the master's degree programs in Architecture and City Sustainability and Civil Engineering, including the professional degree in Construction, Infrastructure, and Territory.
Research Activities
The selected candidate will conduct research on topics consistent with the scope of the Scientific-Disciplinary Sector CEAR-03/C - Real estate appraisal and investment valuation (formerly ICAR/22). These include, but are not limited to, the following research areas:
* Census estimates for evaluating environmental, economic, social investments, fees and charges in public and private procurement.
* The techniques of cost-benefit analysis and the structuring of decision-making problems to formulate cost-benefit judgements in the construction, civil infrastructures, environmental and energy fields over the entire life cycle of assets.
* The integrated analysis of environmental, economic, social, also intergenerational, including the evaluation of the extra-economic effects of programmes, plans, projects on natural and territorial resources, historical-architectural and landscape assets, according to monetary and multi-criteria quanti-qualitative approaches, of a systemic type supported by techniques of spatial data analysis, in a logic of sustainable development.
The research activities will result in publications in prestigious international venues relevant to the sector, participation in research projects, and will contribute significantly to technology transfer and third-mission activities.
General Assessment Criteria
For the evaluation of teaching activities, supplementary teaching and service to students, scientific research activity and scientific publications, the internationally recognized quality standards will be taken into consideration, pursuant to art. 24, paragraph 5, of Law no. 240/2010 and the provisions of the Ministerial Decree MIUR n. 344 of 4 August 2011.
The teaching activity will take place in the undergraduate and master's degree courses in Civil and Environmental Engineering and in the degree courses in Architecture.
The research activity will focus on the topics of the Scientific Disciplinary Sector CEAR/03-C, in particular on economic project management and evaluation, cost-benefit analysis techniques and the structuring of decision-making problems to formulate cost-benefit judgements in the construction, civil, environmental and energy fields over the entire life cycle of assets.
The oral teaching test, reserved for the top three candidates in the evaluation of qualifications, will consist of a simulated lesson (with the indicative duration of the test at the discretion of the selection committee) on topics relevant to the Scientific Disciplinary Sector and aligned with the educational content offered in the current academic programs. The selection committee will define a series of possible topics, which will be drawn by the candidates well in advance of the scheduled test date.
