We are looking for a R&D - FEM Analyst to join the Car & Door Configurable Models and Mechanism team. In this role, the candidate will contribute to the development and validation of innovative and competitive solutions by using numerical simulation tools to analyze mechanical systems and verify component performance. The role involves using FEM solvers for structural and dynamic behavior studies, as well as numerical simulation and programming tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python) for performance analysis and optimization. Key responsibilities Perform numerical simulations to evaluate and optimize mechanical components Apply FEM methods for structural, dynamic, and nonlinear analysis Use explicit solvers to simulate transient phenomena such as impacts and vibrations Develop numerical models and analysis algorithms using MATLAB, Python, or equivalent software Validate simulation results with experimental tests and field measurements Collaborate with design teams to integrate simulation insights into the product development process Create reports and technical documentation to support decision-making Requirements MSc degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Automation Engineering, or equivalent 0 to 3 years of experience in numerical simulation and structural analysis Knowledge of FEM principles and experience with software such as Abaqus, LS-DYNA, Ansys Experience with calculation and numerical simulation tools (MATLAB, Python, Simulink) Ability to analyze and interpret experimental data to validate numerical models Basic programming skills for automating analysis and simulations Proficiency in Italian and English (minimum B2 level) Strong attention to detail and precision Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams Problem-solving mindset and continuous improvement approach Ability to work under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment Please note that if you are NOT a passport holder of the country for the vacancy you might need a work permit.
