About the Role
The Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team is at the forefront of innovation, updating our tools and technological solutions as Amazon evolves and adapts to change. As a Senior RME Technician, you will help us stay ahead by adopting innovative technologies and identifying new ways of working for maximum efficiency. This involves monitoring processes to ensure compliance with our high standards and contributing to improving existing standards through tailored updates.
Key Responsibilities
* Demonstrate safe machine usage practices, monitoring teams to ensure everyone follows correct processes.
* Monitor equipment performance through visual checks, condition-based monitoring, and preventive maintenance, scheduling corrective maintenance as necessary.
* Supervise technical staff during shifts, fostering their development and acting as the main point of contact for Reliability Maintenance Engineers.
* Troubleshoot machinery issues to minimize operational downtime and ensure packages are processed quickly.
* Assist in defining continuous improvement strategies for systems and standardizing processes across our European network.
A Day in the Life
As a Senior RME Technician, your day will be filled with leading your team, ensuring they have the necessary equipment and that it is in perfect working order. You will monitor processes to ensure compliance with regulations and policies, performing preventive maintenance to extend machinery life.
You will propose improvements to increase efficiency and productivity of systems, implementing them in your function across all European locations. You will also monitor processes using tools such as Scada, closely collaborating with line managers in managing administrative tasks.
About the Team
The role is based in Cividate al Piano (BG), and a one-time monetary relocation package is available for those moving from other regions.
Requirements
* High school diploma.
* Extensive experience in a technical managerial role.
* Extensive professional experience in electrical and mechanical fields.
* Extensive experience in automation or environments involving machinery for material handling.
* Advanced knowledge of Italian, both spoken and written, and basic knowledge of English.
Preferred qualifications include professional experience in work environments involving multiple external contractors across various locations, understanding of PLC-based control systems, and experience using computerized maintenance management systems for proactive maintenance planning and recording reactive maintenance actions.
