Job Title: Workcell Manager
Location: Florence, KY
Jabil is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Workcell Manager to oversee the performance and operations of a designated workcell within our manufacturing site. This role involves ensuring the achievement of production, quality, financial, and customer satisfaction goals while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively.
IN YOUR ROLE YOU WILL :
* Operational Leadership:
o Oversee day-to-day operations of the workcell to meet production schedules, quality standards, and customer delivery timelines.
o Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
o Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions when necessary.
* Team Management:
o Lead and manage a cross-functional team, including production supervisors, operators, and support staff.
o Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture through coaching, mentoring, and employee development.
o Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and create individual development plans.
* Financial Management:
o Develop and manage the workcell budget, including labor, materials, and equipment.
o Drive cost-saving initiatives while maintaining product quality and customer satisfaction.
o Analyze financial data to identify opportunities for efficiency and profitability improvements.
* Customer Focus:
o Serve as the primary point of contact for customer interactions related to the workcell.
o Ensure customer requirements are met or exceeded in terms of quality, cost, and delivery.
o Collaborate with customers to resolve issues and enhance relationships.
* Continuous Improvement:
o Champion lean manufacturing practices and Six Sigma methodologies to improve processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
o Lead root cause analysis for operational issues and implement corrective actions.
o Promote a culture of innovation and proactive problem-solving within the team.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
* 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
* Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
* Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and profitability analysis.
* Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire diverse teams.
* Proven track record of building and maintaining customer relationships.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office Suite.
