As an Associate Game Content Designer & Analyst within the Game Evaluation Service department and under the supervision of the Game Evaluation Service Manager, you will perform product evaluation and analysis in order to make recommendations and advise for improvements at the various stages during the development cycle for both marketing and development purposes, and to help build Bandai Namco’s product portfolio.
This includes identification of the game structure, gameplay mechanisms, reporting problems encountered in various areas such as concept, visual, HUD, etc., and appraisal of art direction, technology and understanding of the overall opportunities the game may provide.
Your main responsibilities include (non-exhaustive list):
* Play a build or read documents such as Game Design Documents, Concept Documents, etc. during development in order to analyse, compare and create an opinion or evaluation, anticipating the end users’ perception and the potential of the game
* Provide analysis report to internal teams (production, marketing, business development et Management)
* Provide reports, constructive feedback, realistic suggestions, and solutions within the constraints to support production and development teams both internally and externally to improve the quality and experience from the end user viewpoint
* Ensure the respect of quality standard in cooperation with the development team
* Help to create and optimize processes and methodologies to deliver the best services possible
* Minimum 6 months to 2 years in Game design, production, testing, localization, game development or equivalent relevant experience
* Bachelor/master degree in related area of study preferred (game design, production…)
* Experience with all gaming platforms
* Technical writing experience or editorial experience is a plus
* Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills; must be proficient in English/French
* Excellent computer skills; knowledge of PC hardware, MS operating systems, MS Word, Excel, Outlook
* Good knowledge of the office automation software & Internet search
* Very good knowledge of the video game market at all levels (casual and hardcore) and gaming industry
* Demonstrated organization skill, detail orientation and strong analytical and strategic talents
* General knowledge of production and development process is plus
* Knowledge of Japanese language is a plus
* Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude under pressure
* Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
* Ability to apply feedback from and to peers and official reviews
* Proactive, organizational and able to prioritize
* Diplomatic and analytical
