Associate Director - Pietrasanta (Seasonal Position)
Secci Gallery is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Gallery Director to lead our Pietrasanta location for the 2025 summer season (approximately late April to mid-October). This is a unique opportunity to represent a contemporary art gallery in one of Italy’s most vibrant cultural destinations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Client Development and Networking: Cultivate and strengthen relationships with new and existing clients, with a strong focus on expanding our collector base in the region. Build a solid local presence through proactive engagement with Pietrasanta’s art community and beyond.
• Exhibition Supervision: Oversee all aspects of gallery exhibitions, including installation, logistics, and maintenance, ensuring the highest professional standards.
• Sales and Client Relations: Drive sales through personalized client outreach, tailored viewings, and excellent service. Maintain close communication with collectors, providing expertise and guidance on acquisitions.
• Community Presence: Act as the face of the gallery in Pietrasanta, representing Secci Gallery at local events, establishing partnerships, and enhancing our brand’s visibility in the region.
• Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day gallery operations, including staff coordination, event planning, and ensuring seamless execution of all gallery activities.
• Knowledge and Expertise: Provide deep insights into the contemporary art market and demonstrate a strong intellectual engagement with the gallery’s program and artists.
Requirements:
• Proven experience (5+ years) in gallery management, art sales, or related fields.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build relationships.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• A passion for contemporary art and a deep understanding of its market.
• Availability for the full duration of the seasonal position (late April to mid-October).
