DESCRIPTION
The Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team is at the forefront of making Amazon synonymous with innovation. As Amazon evolves and adapts to every type of change, this team updates our tools and technological solutions. As a Senior RME Technician, you will help us stay at the forefront by adopting the most innovative technologies and identifying new ways of working for maximum efficiency. The role involves careful monitoring of processes to ensure compliance with our high standards. You will also contribute to improving existing standards through tailored updates.
Key Responsibilities
1. Demonstrate safe machine usage practices, monitoring teams to ensure everyone follows the correct processes.
2. Monitor equipment performance through visual checks, condition-based monitoring, and preventive maintenance, scheduling corrective maintenance as necessary.
3. Supervise technical staff during shifts, fostering their development and acting as the main point of contact for Reliability Maintenance Engineers.
4. Troubleshoot machinery issues to minimize operational downtime and ensure packages are processed as quickly as possible.
5. Assist in defining continuous improvement strategies for systems and standardizing processes across our European network.
A Day in the Life
During all shifts, you will lead your team, ensuring that everyone has the necessary equipment and that it is in perfect working order. You will monitor processes to ensure compliance with regulations and policies and perform preventive maintenance to extend machinery life.
Based on observations during shifts, you will propose improvements to increase efficiency and productivity of systems, implementing them in your function across all European locations. You will also monitor processes using tools such as Scada to ensure performance, closely collaborating with line managers in managing administrative tasks.
Your work will take place in one of our operational centers and will be organized in shifts, sometimes on weekends and at night. As you gain experience in this dynamic area of Amazon, you will be well-positioned to advance your career into more senior roles.
About the Team
The role is based in Cividate al Piano (BG) and a one-time monetary relocation package is available for those moving from other regions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. High school diploma.
2. Extensive experience in a technical managerial role.
3. Extensive professional experience in electrical and mechanical fields.
4. Extensive experience in automation or environments involving machinery for material handling.
5. Advanced knowledge of Italian, both spoken and written, and basic knowledge of English.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Professional experience in work environments involving multiple external contractors across various locations.
2. Understanding of PLC-based control systems and compliance requirements with regulatory provisions.
3. Experience using computerized maintenance management systems for proactive maintenance planning and recording reactive maintenance actions.
4. Degree preferably in a technical field, operations, or business administration.
