Trillium Pumps Italy is looking for a Service Engineer.
Service Engineer provide accurate, timely, and advanced technical information, advice, and assistance regarding Trillium products and services before, during, and after a transaction to maintain and improve the organization’s customer relationships. Develops retrofit solutions to expand services offer and provide support in troubleshooting, elaborates and analyses vibration data as well other instrument readings to assess rotating equipment condition, assists warranty managers, field service engineers during troubleshooting activities
Responsibilities
Including but not limited to:
* Provide technical support to After Market Commercial Operations Team (COT) for new offers when required by the COT. Along with COT, SE may be involved directly in discussion and meetings with customers, including in person visit if required;
* Executes feasibility studies for pump retrofits considering both hydraulic and mechanical aspects of pumps; when required, prepares preliminary drawings to be share with customer;
* Follows guidelines and inputs from After Market & Services Director and After Market Engineering Director to develop new services for After Market. This includes development of technical solutions dedicated to specific applications and development of new tools to facilitate retrofit quotations, or enable for after sales services sells;
* Support Field Service teams during their on-site activities providing technical guidance whenever required;
* Support Commissioning Manager/Warranty Manager and field service teams defining solutions and actions to solve customer’s technical claim. In case it’s required, cooperates to root cause analysis and troubleshooting;
* Support Service Center with escalating issue providing technical guidance to complete pump overhaul/maintenance/retrofits;
* Completes high level analysis of vibration data (spectrum analysis, time waveform, acceleration envelopes, orbit analysis);
* Provides feedback on rotating machinery health based on vibration data and other instrument readings (bearing temperature, process data…);
* Contributes to build best practices to field service Engineer and Service Centers monitoring vibration, and if required, provides specific inputs for vibration analysis to be completed by others;
* Contributes actively to development, definitions and specifications of techniques to be implemented in remote condition monitoring systems, according to system development schedule and targets;
* Helps to train Field Service Engineer in basic vibration analysis and/or use of specific tools for condition monitoring;
* Whenever involved, provides support on specific vibration-related topics to other department (engineering, R&D).
Qualifications
Degree in Mechanical engineering, preferably master’s degree or bachelor’s degree with relevant experience in rotating equipment.
Computer Skills:
* Completely autonomous on MS Office software, including complex calculation spreadsheet and Macros
* PTC Creo, both 3D and 2D
* FEM packages (PTC Simulate, Xlrotor, Madyn, Ansys) is a plus
* Software programming for calculation, big data analysis (e.g. Scilab, Matlab,or equivalent) is a plus
Core Competencies
* Strong knowledge of centrifugal pumps/rotating machinery
* Competences in mechanical engineering, 2D drawings comprehension
