For our Sales & Marketing Team, we are looking for a Conference & Events Trainee to be part of the IHC family as an intern.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a clear commitment to the importance of the brand's philosophy, strong written and oral communication skills, experience in negotiation of MICE business, event management, time management, project management, and MICE sales.
He/She will be able to strictly follow all company and Brand procedures and plans, to contribute to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
He/She reports hierarchically to the Conference & Events Team Leader.
Requirements
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Listed below are the requirements that will be considered as an advantage:
* A minimum of 6 months in a sales or operations position within the MICE segment.
* Confident use of PMS (Protel, Opera) and CRM (Zoho).
The Conference & Event Agent we are looking for must be extremely organized and have good communication skills, with the ability to relate and perform with the operations team at the property level.
He/She will focus on negotiation and conversion of incoming MICE opportunities and can create strong relationships with clients by supporting and following them in all steps of the negotiation process until the day of arrival.
He/She must be able to set personal high standards.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
* Management of RFPs, following Company and Brand’s standards & procedures.
* Planning and delivery of excellent C&E proposals customizing the offer according to the clients’ needs.
* Constant update on CRM with opportunities update, calls, account information, tasks, and projects.
* Assure that PMS (Protel and Opera) is properly and constantly updated with all info needed (rates, inventory, etc.).
* Focus on own KPI conversion according to the goals given.
* Event Management from the first offer until the day of arrival of the client.
* Actively search for opportunities of new business for the property through sales actions (e.g., BBOB, etc.) and cross-selling for IHC sister properties.
* Contribute ideas to improve standards and new products and services offered.
* Participate in Sales & Commercial internal meetings.
* Organization and follow-up of site inspections.

We are searching for an internship, so it's not important to have gained previous experience in the field.
