The position
As a Project Controls Lead, your responsibility is to develop, implement, and oversee the Project Managed Service company deliveries. This includes ensuring that all project controls processes are in place, managing the performance of the service providers, and ensuring that all deliverables meet the required standards and timelines. In addition, your responsibility will be to develop, implement, and execute processes, tools, and systems to ensure an integrated project controls system for program and large and complex projects. Moreover, your responsibility will be to establish bottom-up project cost estimate and budget across all project areas, implement cost management processes to track, monitor and forecast project cost, manage project contingency, and analyze variances from the budget.
Your Main Accountabilities will be to:
1. Establish level 3 schedule covering the full project scope (including roll up to level 1 and 2), implement schedule management processes including progress management across all project disciplines, facilitate schedule scenarios and change impact analyses, and establish and maintain project staffing plan.
2. Implement and execute Risk Management process, facilitate risk assessments across all project disciplines, maintain overview of project risks and potential impact on cost & schedule throughout project, and monitor and challenge implementation of risk mitigating actions.
3. Implement change control processes to ensure potential changes are evaluated, challenged, and impact assessed before approved or rejected. You will ensure approved changes are implemented in project budgets and schedules.
4. Monitor Team, Contractor, and Supplier Performance, continuously analyze complex project performance data and convert analyses into actionable insights for the Project Management, implement and maintain Earned Value Management, maintain the project baseline, report project cost and schedule project performance, and provide project input to NN financial processes.
5. Manage the people management processes with the employees e.g. salary, bonus, Individual Development Plan, and well-being dialogues.
Qualifications
As Project Controls Lead, you need to have a Master’s Degree in Engineering, Business administration, or a technical field. In addition, you need to have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in similar management positions. Moreover, you need to have a minimum of 8 years combined project management experience in major investment projects, e.g. as planner, cost engineer, risk engineer, or similar.
To be successful in this role, you need to have:
1. Extensive experience working in complex projects in various roles including roles with project management responsibility, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
2. Proven experience in project management, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
3. Leadership experience.
4. Strong analytic and problem-solving experience.
5. Experience with project management software.
6. Fluent English, Italian preferred.
About the department
You will be part of the FFEx AN Engineering & Construction Management department based in Anagni, Italy. Our project is part of a global initiative with sister projects in Denmark, France, and the USA. You will be working on-site in Anagni, interacting with international engineering partners and collaborating across world time zones.
