We are currently increasing our Instrumentation team within the Danieli Automation division.
Job Title: Hardware and Firmware Designer - Professional
Location: Buttrio (UD)
Responsibilities
1. Basic and Detail Design (drawings and/or technical specifications) of hardware schematics of electronic cards exploited by the sensors/gauges produced by the Instrumentation and Robotics Business Unit (BU);
2. Basic and Detail Design (code and/or technical specifications) of firmware deployed into electronic cards used within the sensors/gauges produced by the BU;
3. Basic and Detail Design (code and/or technical specifications) of software deployed in both hardware and software PLCs;
4. Development and testing of laboratory prototypes to verify theoretical hypotheses regarding techniques to be used in current/future gauges produced by the BU;
5. Research (by reading technical articles, books, datasheets, web pages, and publications) new technologies and/or techniques to be used in metrology applications;
6. Standardization, improvement, and innovation of existing/new solutions for the gauges produced by the BU;
7. Time schedule, cost, and quality of the assigned jobs;
8. Follow up and coordinate the external partners involved (designer and/or supplier) to achieve the targets of quality, time, and cost;
9. Link with project managers and project leaders to gather the information to design the optimal solution and share it with the BU team;
10. Link with team members to design the optimal mechanical/architectural solution.
Minimum Requirements
1. Electronics (preferred) or other technical engineering degrees;
2. Preferred minimum 3 years experience in HW&FW development;
3. Knowledge of electronic CAD software;
4. Experience with microcontrollers and/or FPGA development suites;
5. Experience with networks and Fieldbus protocols (Profibus, Profinet, EtherCAT, Modbus, Modbus-TCP, RS232, …);
6. Preferred programming languages (in order of importance): C/C++/CodeSys/C#/VHDL;
7. Good knowledge of spoken and written English.
