Position Type: Specialized Technician

Job Purpose: The position is responsible for electrical and electronic activities in the Engineering department, working primarily in the Production area to design, program, manage, and test large industrial automation systems for cellulose transformation. Activities must be carried out in accordance with technical manufacturing standards and workplace safety regulations.
The person appointed will report to the Electronic Department Manager at the Città Sant'Angelo (Pescara) plant.
* Actively participate and take responsibility for designing and managing large processing and automation systems for industrial lines.
* Identify and resolve automation and operational problems on lines during testing.
* Perform interventions such as installing line components, replacing defective parts or components, checking assembled elements, programming and/or equipping machines, analyzing electrical diagrams, measuring voltage, checking machinery or equipment, managing electrical and electronic systems, calibrating and testing equipment.
* Develop software for automation devices.
* Interface with end customers for training, testing, and assistance activities.
* Prepare data collection and technical documentation when required.
* Use basic and specialized electronic equipment, technical documentation, automated cable-controlled and programmable systems to plan and perform direct interventions, taking measurements and/or detecting consumption, transmitting collected information or data, completing service documents.
* Verify and ensure correct application of manufacturing standards and workplace safety regulations.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
* Diploma in Electronics, Informatics, or Mechatronics.
* Prior experience preferred, with more than three years of work experience.
Specific Skills:
* Knowledge of PLCs (Siemens, Rockwell, and Mitsubishi, preferably).
* Basic knowledge of at least one programming language.
* Suitable knowledge of computer science and communication networks.
* Sound physical-mathematical foundations necessary for understanding automation systems.
* Ability to work in teams and result-oriented approach.
* Good English language skills.
* Availability for work travel.
Additional Specific Skills as Preferred Titles:
* Knowledge of Motion Control systems.
* Knowledge of CAD programs.
