We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chemical Project Engineer to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and executing chemical engineering projects, ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of projects that align with company objectives and client requirements. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, operations, and procurement, to ensure project success from conception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Management: Lead chemical engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
* Design & Engineering: Collaborate with the design team to develop process flow diagrams, P&IDs, and other relevant documentation, ensuring that all engineering designs are accurate and meet regulatory requirements.
* Process Optimization: Identify and implement opportunities to improve existing processes, ensuring maximum efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
* Compliance & Safety: Ensure that all projects comply with local and international safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
* Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and contractors to coordinate project execution and ensure alignment with project goals.
* Technical Support: Provide technical support to the operations team during project execution, troubleshooting, and post-installation phases.
* Budget & Resource Management: Develop and manage project budgets, monitor costs, and allocate resources effectively to ensure project delivery within scope and budget.
* Reporting & Documentation: Prepare regular progress reports, project documentation, and presentations for stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective communication.
Qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
* Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in chemical engineering, with a strong focus on project management and process design.
* Skills:
o Strong understanding of chemical processes, equipment, and systems.
o Experience with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS).
o Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
o Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
o Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
