Job Purpose:
* Ensure a safe, efficient, cost-effective, and timely airport operation to maintain Emirates' image, reputation, and passenger service levels as per the company's commercial, safety, and security policies, standards, and procedures.
* Provide prompt service to Emirates passengers in operational areas to maintain or restore goodwill and confidence in case of adverse situations.
* Implement strategies to ensure EK airport staff follow airport services procedures, standards, and instructions.
* Achieve Ground Handling performance targets set by Airport Services, including flight punctuality, check-in standards, and baggage service standards, to remain competitive.
* Protect the safety and security of the operation, including aircraft, passengers, cargo, baggage, and staff.
* Lead and develop staff to maintain a disciplined, motivated workforce and adhere to passenger service and operation standards.
* Perform administrative duties accurately and timely, including monthly reports, performance appraisals, and complaint investigation.
* Review local procedures for diversion, delay handling, disruptions, and emergency procedures.
* Check on the competency of EK and Handling Agent staff in all areas, particularly Load Control.
* Represent EK at official forums, liaise with government organizations, and develop relationships with internal/external departments and Airport authorities.
* Accountable for annual budgeting, providing a cost-efficient service, and creating measurement and reporting systems.
* Responsible for Emergency Planning, audits, and customer touch points.
* Promote a culture of Safety, open reporting, and compliance with local laws to uphold safe and secure operations.
* Maintain and account ULD stock at station.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Educated up to degree level or equivalent.
* Background in the airline industry with extensive experience at managerial level in airport operations.
* Experienced in Customer Services, Ground Operations, Baggage Claims, Reservations & Ticketing, and Weight and Balance.
* Familiarity with systems, especially DCS, Reservations, and Baggage Reconciliation software packages.
* Conversant with Flight Planning and Cargo Operations.
* Proven ability in leading, motivating, and developing staff.
* Ability to work under pressure and high initiative environment.
* Fluent in spoken and written English and Italian.
