Job Title: Researcher in Neurosciences
About the Job:
The Department of Biomedical and Neuromotor Sciences at Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna is seeking a highly skilled researcher to investigate the role of the medial posterior parietal cortex in monitoring arm movements using transcranial magnetic stimulation.
Responsibilities:
* Design and develop a task involving movements with visual and somatosensory perturbations
* Apply TMS protocols and neuronavigation techniques
* Analyze kinematic, ocular, and behavioral data
* Compare results using statistical tests
Requirements:
* Recognised Researcher (R2), Leading Researcher (R4), First Stage Researcher (R1), or Established Researcher (R3) profile
* Proficiency in programming languages, including Matlab
* Knowledge of behavioral data analysis techniques and computer techniques for data analysis, storage, and sharing
About the Project:
The project will explore the neural mechanisms underlying arm movement monitoring, with potential applications in aerospace medicine and biomedical engineering. The research will involve collecting and analyzing behavioral data from experiments on healthy participants.
