We are looking for a proactive and skilled Environmental & Energy Operations Specialist to join our team and help drive sustainability initiatives across the company’s supply chain (procurement, logistic, manufacturing). This role will play a crucial part in aligning our operations with environmental performance goals, emphasizing sustainable sourcing, logistics optimization, and resource efficiency in manufacturing processes.
What you will focus on:
1. Contribute to the development and implementation of processes for sustainable manufacturing and due diligence along the value-chain to reach DAB’s sustainability goals.
2. Analyze the plants’ environmental and energy performance and suggest resource-efficient solutions, focusing on energy, water, and raw material optimization.
3. Evaluate suppliers' environmental performance and work closely with them to raise awareness and ensure alignment with the company’s sustainability goals.
4. Collaborate with suppliers to enhance environmental performance, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
5. Standardize environmental monitoring and digitalization of company’s plant and suppliers data.
6. Help the company in maintaining awareness on emerging trends, best practices and regulations in sustainable manufacturing and procurement.
7. Support the EHS team in ensuring adherence to environmental regulations and ISO 14001 standards
Requirements:
8. Master’s degree in Environmental/Chemical/Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related fields;
9. 1-2 years of experience in industrialization, manufacturing, sustainability or environmental management within manufacturing or supply chain settings, preferably large companies;
10. Fluency in English;
11. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and technologies with the ability to measure their env perf (energy, water, waste);
12. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions;
13. A good understanding of environmental and sustainability regulations and frameworks laws is considered a plus. (e.g., CSRD, CSDDD, GHG Protocol, ISO 14001);
14. Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to evolving sustainability standards;
15. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external stakeholders.
