As a Senior Software Engineer on our Corporate Data Team, you'll design, implement and maintain our Data Warehouse and its features, as well as help research tools and technologies for a long-term Data Warehouse strategy. You'll work closely with product owners, scrum masters, management, and corporate teams to deliver actionable, timely, accessible, and quality-based information to aid in corporate decision-making and serve as the basis for industry thought leadership. Thought leadership with our data is an organizational priority!
What You’ll Do:
* Lead corporate data integration initiatives within the organization.
* Build new and innovative solutions that can help solve business and technical challenges.
* Provide architecture and technology leadership across the platform in Big Data and Cloud Data technologies. Help to design and implement an infrastructure platform that is high performance and scalable.
* Produce, maintain, and improve the quality of development and testing code.
* Accomplish day-to-day sprint work effectively and meet sprint commitments.
* Encourage and enforce code reuse and quality standards.
* Recommend new and better tools, patterns, and methodologies.
* Provide technical input for product owners and sprint team.
* Mentor less experienced members of the team and guide them in decision-making.
What We’re Looking For:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline. 5+ years of experience in software development, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* 1+ years minimum of demonstrable experience in a technical leadership role.
* Real-time experience in Cloud Data Warehouse implementations, including experience with Snowflake (or a similar solution).
* Strong knowledge of Data Warehouse architecture and Data Integration concepts.
* Expertise in ETL tools with hands-on knowledge.
* Advanced/Expert knowledge of Python.
* Knowledge of Salesforce APIs.
* Skilled in performance tuning, query plan/explain plan analysis, indexing, table partitioning.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Comfortable working with all project stakeholders (business users, architects, project managers, business analysts, developers, test analysts, production support team).
* Demonstrated leadership ability to influence teams with diverse skill sets and achieve results through team efforts.
* Demonstrated ability to see cross-team impact to product and react in a proactive, collaborative manner ensuring the best product for the customer.
