We are seeking a dynamic and experienced business manager in our office in Milan, Italy. This position will be instrumental in spearheading the development and execution of strategic initiatives that are essential to achieving AVASK’s business objectives. The successful candidate will bear responsibility for aligning the business and teams with the company's broader strategic goals and for the management and development of team members. Responsibilities: Coordinate and oversee the execution of AVASK IT operations in collaboration with Head Office. Ensure agreed procedures are documented for all activities and adhered to in accordance with the AVASK Group QMS. Ensure client service levels are maintained. Monitor and report on the overall performance of AVASK IT and report back to Operations, Head Office. Support the team on achieving the business development objectives. Monitor and handle HR matters in liaison with the Head Office HR and Recruitment team. Ensure that the company has the adequate and suitable resources to complete its activities – whilst working alongside HR and other Managers. Organise and coordinate operations in ways that ensure maximum productivity. Supervise the work of employees and provide feedback and counsel to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Support staff and liaise with HR to support where required. Organise training of new and existing staff. Maintain relationships with partners/vendors/suppliers. Gather, analyse, and interpret external and internal data and write reports. Assess overall company performance against objectives - Monitor and report on agreed KPI’s. Ensure adherence to legal rules and guidelines. Ensure that the premises are properly maintained and cleaned, and that adequate fire prevention and security systems are in place. Manage the procurement of equipment, supplies and services within target budgets. Arrange appropriate maintenance for office equipment. Monitor client satisfaction, record, investigate, and respond to complaints. Highlight opportunities for improvement and risks. Assist with the internal auditing of systems and processes. Knowledge, skills and experience: Educated to Degree Level. Proven experience in business and tax or relevant role – minimum 10 years. Strong business acumen and comprehensive VAT experience. Fluent in Italian and English. Has shown evidence of own career and professional development. Extensive experience working in a large accounting function. Experience of managing a team. Proven track record of experience in supervising, leading and coaching a team. Working knowledge of VAT and its application. Excellent systems experience including proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Intermediate level such as pivot tables and v look ups), Word, and PowerPoint. Demonstrated mathematical and analytical knowledge and the ability to choose the right mathematical methods or formulas to solve a problem. Solid understanding of the relationship of internal controls and business processes with financial statements and financial statement assertions. Experienced at implementing change to maximise efficiency in processes, results, and team structure.
