The position An exciting opportunity has arisen as Field Service Engineer in relation to Podded propulsion systems. In this role, you will be a part of the Global Customer Supports’ Service Delivery Team, and report to the Operations Manager. You will be responsible to perform installation and assembling activities of Kongsberg’s Podded propulsion systems at major shipyards around the world. If you have technical qualifications in mechanical systems, then you have the competence we seek. Key accountabilities • Fitting of units to the hull • Various mechanical and hydraulic assembling • Testing of hydraulic system according to protocol • Communication towards yard and product center • Continuous improvement and development of the process related to the POD installation • Documentation and reporting Qualifications and experience • Competence with mechanical and hydraulic systems • Competence within machining on site and at workshop • General good computer skills • Proficient written and oral skills in English • Ready and motivated for world-wide support activities • Knowledge of and experience with Kongsberg Maritime products is an advantage You are able to • act on own initiative, make things happen and accept responsibility for the results • adhere to company rules and procedures and execute plans with commitment and determination • demonstrate specialist knowledge and expertise in own area • communicate in a clear, precise and structured way • analyze complex issues and problems and come up with proper solutions What we can offer you With us, you will be offered a competitive salary and benefit packages with good development opportunities in an international environment.
