Maserati is now looking for new talents to join the Maserati Team. MISSION The Material Management Responsible ensures the seamless and timely flow of materials from suppliers to the production line. The role is key to minimizing material working capital, maintaining uninterrupted production, and achieving plant service level targets with maximum efficiency and reliability. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Coordinate, support, and supervise the activities of the Material Management team. Ensure team members are properly trained on supply chain policies, stock management, financial logistics, and incoming material processes. Manage cross-functional collaboration with Quality, Production, and Finance to resolve issues, define new procedures, and drive continuous improvement. Work closely with Plant Handling, Production Scheduling & Control, Pre-Series Logistics, and Logistics Engineering to ensure accurate and efficient material flows, enabling smooth production and successful implementation of product launches and changes. Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts related to working capital, ensuring proper accounting and reconciliation of material movements. Guarantee alignment between physical and accounting stock, and ensure procedures and approval workflows are understood and followed. Achieve target accuracy levels in accounting stock and define recovery plans in case of deviations or reduction needs. Identify and implement initiatives to optimize working capital. Ensure delivery accuracy in terms of timing and quantities. Manage supplier relationships and enforce compliance with supply rules, including penalties (e.g., SQP) or return of excess goods when necessary. Secure production continuity from CLS/CLD and meet plant service level objectives. Authorize urgent transportation within defined limits or request approval when beyond authority. Ensure optimal service levels by proactively removing constraints following production plan changes. Collaborate with SCM and FGP to address critical supply chain issues. Escalate major challenges to the Plant Logistics Manager when additional support is required. Oversee banking operations related to material flows, when applicable. Ensure material availability to support Aftermarket and other customer requirements. Monitor material management processes to minimize financial impact and define mitigation plans. Validate compliance of MPS (Master Production Schedule) management to prevent obsolescence. Promote and propose WCM (World Class Manufacturing) and cost-reduction projects, including those focused on working capital optimization. Lead and support the team in achieving performance targets and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in Management Engineering or a related discipline. A solid professional background with 5 to 10 years of experience, including at least 5 years in logistics management roles. Previous experience in the automotive industry or similar manufacturing environments is required. Good command of English, both spoken and written. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with SAP or comparable ERP systems. Strong technical knowledge in material supply planning, inventory control, and WCM/Lean production methodologies. The ideal candidate demonstrates resilience, sound decision-making, effective problem-solving, and strong people management skills.
