We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Assistant Restaurant Manager for Borgo Santo Pietro, an award-winning five-star luxury boutique hotel located in the heart of Tuscan countryside, surrounded by a 300-acre organic farm, vineyards and wonderful gardens.
The individual has a strong knowledge of restaurant operations and understanding of what makes a great customer service.
Main responsibilities:
* Supervise kitchen and waiters and provide assistance.
* Keep detailed records of daily, weekly and monthly costs and revenues.
* Ensure that the restaurant adheres to pertinent health and safety regulations.
* Calculate future needs in kitchenware and equipment and place orders, as needed.
* Induct and mentor new staff members.
* Schedule shifts and assign tables to waitstaff.
* Assist guests in any request they might have.
Candidate profile:
* At least two years of previous experience in a similar role in luxury hotels is required.
* Familiarity with restaurant management software.
* Strong customer service attitude.
* Fluent level of English is requested. Knowledge of any other language is considered as a plus.
* Knowledge of food & service is mandatory.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
