OPEX Manager – Drive Operational Excellence in a Global Medical Devices Group
Operational Excellence (OPEX) professionals with a solid background in Lean Six Sigma and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement are sought to define strategies, implement world-class standards, and lead cross-functional initiatives in a dynamic multi-site environment.
The Role:
As the OPEX Manager, you will be a key member of the Divisional OPEX Management Team, working closely with the Divisional OPEX Manager to shape the continuous improvement roadmap and translate it into concrete actions. Key responsibilities include:
Define OPEX Standards:
Develop and detail "ready-to-use" methodologies, tools, and templates to support lean transformation.
Coordinate Global Roll-Out:
Ensure effective implementation of OPEX Standards across all manufacturing sites within the Center of Excellence.
Training & Competence Building:
Design and deliver workshops and training sessions on Lean/OPEX, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies, engaging teams at every level.
Assessment & Continuous Improvement:
Establish a clear assessment framework (including Quality Gates) to audit and enhance the adoption of OPEX Standards within plants.
Leadership & Mentorship:
Provide functional leadership to Plant OPEX Managers, offering guidance and professional development support.
Executive Coaching:
Collaborate with Management Team to foster a leadership culture rooted in excellence.
Strategic Planning:
Oversee the Strategy Deployment/Target Setting process within the international Competence Center, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Performance Monitoring:
Supervise SQDC(Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) performance tracking, with a strong focus on identifying and driving improvement initiatives.
Continuous Improvement Projects:
Lead cross-plant initiatives to boost operational efficiency, cut waste, and optimize processes.
Proactive Process Analysis:
Conduct periodic assessments of operational workflows to identify gaps and propose high-impact solutions.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).
Proven experience in Continuous Improvement/OPEX roles, ideally in multi-plant environments.
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (or equivalent certification) with deep knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, and data analysis tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a track record of managing complex projects from start to finish.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Willingness to travel (25-50% of the time, with potentially higher initial peaks) and adapt to a dynamic global environment.
