The post is for a six-year period. The annual gross salary is about 50,000 Euros. The area of research and teaching is General Sociology:
Required Research Duties
The researcher will carry out research activities within the themes of the scientific disciplinary field GSPS-05/A (General Sociology), focusing on topics of strategic interest for the Department. Special emphasis is required on the development of methodologies for quantitative data collection and analysis using advanced statistical learning and machine learning techniques, specifically applied to computational social sciences. Also required is research experience and the ability to collaborate in research networks, including internationally, as well as active participation in competitive calls for research funding and third mission-related initiatives.
Required Teaching Duties
The researcher will be engaged in theoretical and methodological teaching activities both in Italian and English languages, with particular emphasis on advanced techniques and methods of analysis peculiar to computational social science. These teaching activities will be addressed to bachelor's and master's degree programs, including the master's degree in Data Science (LM-Data) and doctoral programs, coherently with the disciplinary scientific area GSPS-05/A (General Sociology).
Foreign Language Requirements
English: excellent level required;
Italian: level adequate to carry out the assigned teaching load (the researcher is required to teach in Italian);
Maximum number of publications to be presented: 12.
