Description The Table Games Supervisor is responsible for providing an entertaining and fun atmosphere to guests while ensuring that all assigned Table Games are operated in accordance within the established rules and regulations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Supervises the Table Games Dealers, working alongside the Team, observing guest interactions, resolving guest concerns and preventing discrepancies. Assists in the evaluation of Table Games Team Members, providing support and information as requested by management. Trains and develops the Team, making recommendations to management regarding additional training needs and corrective actions. Ensures game activity and dealing procedures follow Table Games Policies and Procedures and internal controls. Remains current on authorized regulatory standards and requirements of Table Games. Responsible for the cleanliness of the table games pit. Adjusts daily work force based upon business needs in the absence of the shift manager. Keeps an open line of communication between Table Games and other departments. Explains game rules to employees and customers as necessary and enforces the casino rules of play for assigned table games. Verifies and awards top table games progressive jackpots. Corrects errors on the games certified to supervise and makes game-related decisions. Maintains proper documentation of all transactions of assigned games by accurately recording daily information on accounting paperwork and the player rating system. Counts, verifies, and balances the station inventory of all assigned games before, during, and after each assigned shift. Initiates and authorizes table game fills, credits and comps. Maintains proper bankroll levels to accommodate existing or anticipated play. Assists with dealer rotations and breaks. Counts new and used card and dice inventory and verifies card, dice and key logs. Resolves or refers to management all guest concerns, complaints or suggestions in a continuous effort to provide superior guest service. Informs management of any irregularities or issues in a timely manner. Other duties as directed by management. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, Team Members may be exposed to secondhand tobacco smoke, including regular exposure for those working on the casino floor. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and can occasionally reach a high level for short periods of time. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to sit, stand and/or walk for up to 10 hours. Must be able to carry, reach, twist, bend and squat frequently. Must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance as needed. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Must have 2 years’ experience working as a Table Games Dealer. General understanding of computer programs, including all windows applications required. Must know and pass a competency exam on all games required by management. Must learn all new games that are offered as part of TRC’s Table Games’ regime within 2 months of the games’ introduction. Must have working knowledge and pass a supervisor competency exam for blackjack and Basic Strategy for 6 deck blackjack. Have certification to Supervise Jackpot Hold’em, 3 Card Poker, Pia Gow Poker and Roulette. Must be able to operate basic equipment such as automated shufflers, etc. Must possess efficient organizational and planning skills. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, verbally, in writing or by other acceptable means. Comply with pre-employment, random and reasonable suspicion alcohol and drug testing. Receive and maintain a valid gaming license from the CTCLUSI Tribal Gaming Commission.
