Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform precision measurements of optical components and systems using advanced metrology tools such as interferometers, profilometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
* Analyze and interpret metrology data to assess compliance with design specifications.
* Collaborate with optical designers, manufacturing teams, and quality assurance to refine product designs and processes.
* Assist in the development and validation of metrology procedures and calibration standards.
* Maintain and troubleshoot metrology equipment to ensure optimal performance.
* Document test results, analysis, and recommendations in technical reports.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Metrology Lab.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics or a related field.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and precision in data handling.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with optical design software (e.g., Zemax, Code V) or data analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python).
* Internship or coursework related to optical manufacturing or metrology.
* Knowledge of environmental requirements for space applications (e.g., thermal, vacuum, and vibration).
