About the job
We are looking for a Axles System Development – Component Referent to join our Headquarter at Sant’Agata Bolognese (BO).
You'll report directly to the coordinator of Axle, Brakes & Chassis Mechatronic Systems.
You’ll be responsible for the development and integration of axle systems components in accordance and fulfilment of the stated dates of releases and engineering costs within the overall project timetable.
Your responsibilities will focus on:
* Component development responsibility within assigned perimeter, with the target to steer the projects from a technical point of view, according to defined targets of design, weight, performance, and quality.
* Support the EZ-Proto Procurement during the selection of suppliers/partners (forward sourcing) with technical specs (LAH) and technical details.
* Ensure lesson learned and robustness of engineering concepts within the entire perimeter of responsibility.
* Support the coordinator in budget bottom-up definition and support the SET Leader for budget tracking and for solution definitions according to budget availability.
* Report and escalate to the coordinator of the unit in case of need.
* Participate in regular meetings for updates with VW group companies.
* Analyze and find solutions for issues that may arise from the field in accordance with other company departments.
* Support the assembly plant in defining the assembly procedures and parameters.
* Manage components/systems with high homologation relevance, particularly strong dependency on the legislation (e.g. UNECE R13H, R79, R139, R140) including self-certification market (FMVSS, CMVSS, KMVSS) and influences exhaust gas, consumption, and particulate emissions.
About you
* University degree in Engineering.
* Experience in Automotive OEMs/Tier 1 suppliers.
* Experience in Systems Engineering/Vehicle development.
* Knowledge of Chassis mechanical and mechatronic systems.
* Knowledge of Vehicle Mechatronics systems and vehicle dynamics.
* Knowledge of Axles design foundations.
* Italian and German, preferred.
* Flexibility.
* Empathy and active listening.
* Interpersonal communication and conflict management.
* Analysis and problem-solving.
