Who Are We Looking For
We are seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our team, dedicated to providing support for eBay’s Top Value sellers. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing seller issues, delivering effective solutions, and offering guidance to ensure optimal store performance.
Candidates must possess proven experience in customer relationship management and a strong understanding of the eBay ecosystem and marketplaces in general.
Assignments
* Manage relationships with Top Value sellers in collaboration with eBay teams.
* Provide support, take ownership, escalate and resolve technical issues related to eBay seller stores and accounts.
* Offer guidance on catalog management, optimization, and listing visibility to accelerate high sales performance.
* Collaborate on projects and communicate new features or changes to eBay’s selling policies to sellers.
* Ensure eBay seller satisfaction aligns with high-quality standards.
Requirements
* Minimum 1 year of technical support experience, demonstrating proficiency in troubleshooting complex software system technical issues. We require candidates who can provide more than just information relay between customers and the Engineering team.
* Solid understanding of online marketplaces and the current/emerging landscape of e-commerce systems and solutions.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills.
* Comfortable and confident in interacting with individuals at all levels.
* Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Meticulous management and utilization of customer contact data.
* Proven experience in enterprise/virtual team management.
* Strong conceptual thinking and innovative problem-solving, coupled with a proven ability to operate in a structured manner, focusing on solutions and outcomes.
* In-depth understanding of eBay products and services.
* Experience in retail procurement processes.
* Online enterprise commercial experience.
* IT technical/e-commerce capability.
* Based in Milan or nearby (it will be required to go to the eBay office three days per week).
* Fluency in Italian (C2 level or equivalent) and full working proficiency in English.
