QuEST Global Engineering ( is a trusted global product engineering services and solutions partner to many of the worlds’ most recognized companies in Aero Engines, Aerospace Defense, Automotive, Medical Devices, Oil Gas, Power, Industrial, Rail, Semiconductor, Consumer Electronics and Software Internet. Aiming to strengthen our Automotive Department for an important project based in Turin, Italy, we are recruiting an AUTOMOTIVE CYBERSECURITY ENGINEER.
As part of a Supercar OEM program, the CS/SU Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing CS/SU processes for IVI systems.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Consultancy in cybersecurity-related projects according to ISO/SAE 21434, UN/ECE R155, and UN/ECE R156;
2. Threat analysis, risk assessment (TARA), and vulnerability analysis;
3. Refining system architecture based on cybersecurity requirements and mitigation methods;
4. Elicit and assess the IVI system cybersecurity requirements and support in the creation, selection, and design of cybersecurity controls like secure boot, secure diagnostics, secure communication, secure debug, key management, HSM, Firewall, IDPS, PKI infrastructure, etc.
Required Skills (Technical Competency):
1. Experience in Automotive IVI System Engineering, at least 3 years or above;
2. Good hands-on experience in designing Cybersecurity compliant IVI systems and Software update procedures;
3. Experience in threat analysis, risk assessment (TARA), and vulnerability analysis;
4. Good exposure in handling standards R155/156 and ISO 21434 cybersecurity documentation for automotive ECUs;
5. Understanding of cybersecurity lifecycle, development process, and most common algorithms and procedures;
6. Familiar with cybersecurity assessment and audit;
7. Fluent in English;
8. Experience working with a global team (cross-cultural, cross-functional communication).
Desired Skills:
1. Understanding of vehicle network topology, Interfaces like CAN, Ethernet, Flexray, BT, Wi-Fi, GPS, etc.;
2. Experience in tools like EA, DOORS, Jira, Vector CAN tools;
3. Good understanding of operating systems, RTOS, and IVI system platform software.
