Panoramica
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), founded in 1971 in Paris, provides medical assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from healthcare. Our teams consist of health professionals, logistic and administrative staff, guided by medical ethics and principles of impartiality, independence, and neutrality. We are a non-profit, self-governed, member-based organization.
In 2022, the project People on the Move (PotM) was launched to ensure that individuals landing or transiting in Italy have prompt access to adequate medical care, focusing on early identification of medical vulnerabilities related to primary healthcare (PHC), sexual and reproductive health (SRH), and mental health (MH). The active location is Agrigento, across reception centres (CAS) for adults and unaccompanied minors, providing basic medical assistance through mobile clinic activities.
