Job Description
A leading client company specialized in designing and manufacturing heat exchangers for critical processes in the refining, petrochemical, fertilizer, and offshore industries has entrusted us with the task of finding a candidate to fill the role of Welding Engineer. The position is available on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities:
* Preparing technical welding documentation (WPS, PQR, procedures) for each project in accordance with applicable codes (ASME/EN) and contractual specifications.
* Qualifying welders (WPQ) and maintaining valid certification.
* Collaborating with design and production teams to develop project proposals.
* Collaborating with the quality team to resolve any issues related to welding and manage non-conformities.
* Selecting materials for each project.
* Monitoring welding process performance and implementing continuous improvements to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements:
* At least 3 years of experience in a similar role in a manufacturing industry, with expertise in arc welding processes (MAG, TIG, etc.).
* Diploma in industrial technician or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field.
* Knowledge of international codes such as ASME, ISO, etc.
* Professional proficiency in English within the scope of competence.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office package and 2D modeling software.
* Certification in international welding (IWE/IWT) is considered an asset.
* Availability of 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday, from 08:30 to 13:00 and from 14:00 to 17:30.
