Summary:
Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify supply chain and project needs of CoEs. Participate in negotiations of contracts and terms with suppliers, ensuring favorable pricing and lead time, quality standards.
2. Stay updated on market trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for cost improvement moments and innovations. Keep key stakeholders informed.
3. Ensure compliance with legal, environmental, safety, and health regulations, as well as company standards. This includes supplier selection, contracting, and ongoing management.
4. Strategic sourcing and category management for fabrication and model system.
* Identify new suppliers and evaluate current supplier performance.
* Makesupplier risk assessment.
* Builts and maintains long-term relationships with suppliers.
* Drives cost-saving initiatives.
* Leads the development of new suppliers and related sourcing activities for the global category.
* Runs global Requests for Quotation (RFQs).
* SUPPORTS project teams with best-cost strategies for winning projects.
Requirements:
* Proven expertise in fabrication, mechanical applications, and system/model solutions linked to Cavotec's complex projects.
* Familiarity with supplier evaluation and selection methodologies, including risk assessment and performance management.
* Good knowledge of sourcing best practices, sourcing processes, and supply chain management principles.
* Hands-on attitude with ability to build consensus and drive changes.
* Strong sense of responsibility and good ability to work under stress.
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
* 10-15 years or more of professional experience in sourcing, category management.
* Global business/market savings for fabrication and mechanical applications.
* Proven track record in managing global supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and delivery savings within global companies.
* Ability to work in a cross-functional, global team environment.
* Knowledge of global material trends.
* Well-rounded with commercial experience and an Engineer BA (or above) background.
* Experience working for a global international company.
* Essential English language skills.
