Key Responsibilities
This strategic role is responsible for driving a profitability mindset within the company, robust pricing governance, performing cost & profit analysis, and streamlined quotation processes. Reporting directly to the Head of Pricing and Customer Service for Power Transmission, this position ensures alignment with product line objectives (Rubber and Polyurethane), market demands, and customer expectations. The manager also oversees the Pricing and Quotation Office, ensuring the team is well-trained, highly motivated, and performing to expectations while leveraging advanced tools like D365, Salesforce, Power BI, and Excel to deliver actionable insights and optimize pricing models.
The position is based in Mathi (Turin) and remote working allowed (40%).
Pricing Strategy and Governance
1. Develop and implement pricing strategies that align with business objectives and ensure competitiveness in the market.
2. Oversee the creation and maintenance of pricing structures, including discount frameworks and special pricing agreements.
3. Conduct regular reviews to optimize pricing models based on market trends, customer segmentation, and cost variations.
Quotation Management
4. Manage the end-to-end quotation process to ensure timely, accurate, and competitive offers for global clients.
5. Collaborate with sales teams to customize quotations based on specific customer requirements and business priorities.
6. Ensure compliance with internal policies and financial targets in all quotations.
Cost Analysis and Margin Optimization
7. Perform detailed cost calculations to ensure accurate pricing that drives healthy profit margins.
8. Monitor cost components, including raw materials, labor, and operational expenses, to identify opportunities for cost savings.
9. Conduct margin analyses and recommend strategies to improve profitability across product lines and regions.
RFQ Management
10. Lead pricing for large, strategic bids, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and customer needs.
11. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather input and create comprehensive bid proposals.
12. Analyze bid outcomes and implement continuous improvements based on feedback and performance metrics.
System and Data Management
13. Maintain and utilize pricing data in D365 and Salesforce to ensure accuracy and usability.
14. Leverage Power BI and Excel to create dynamic dashboards and reports for data-driven decision-making.
15. Support the integration and optimization of pricing-related systems to improve efficiency and scalability.
Collaboration and Communication
16. Act as a key liaison between Product Line Managers, Commercial Leadership, and Operations Managers to ensure cohesive pricing strategies.
17. Communicate pricing policies, updates, and strategies effectively across global teams.
18. Provide training and support for sales and pricing teams on tools, methodologies, and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience:
3-5 years of experience in pricing, commercial, sales, or finance roles, preferably in a B2B environment.
Minimum 2 years of ERP experience (D365 preferred).
Technical Proficiency:
Advanced skills in Excel, quantitative tools, and PowerPoint.
Proficiency in Salesforce and Power BI is highly desirable.
Team-oriented mindset with a positive and flexible attitude.
Language: Fluent in English.
