At the NanoStructure Group (NSG, Dept of Physics and Astronomy, University of Padua, Italy), we are searching for a highly motivated candidate to work for two years on the project ROOTS "ROOm Temperature Single-photon sources with tunable optical nanocavities" financially supported by the Excellence Project "Quantum Frontiers". The aim of the project is to develop novel single-photon sources to be operated in the telecom spectral range (1.55 microns).
Qualifications:
* PhD in Physics, Materials Science, Nanoscience or similar subjects (mandatory)
* At least 12 months of post-doctoral experience (mandatory) on experimental nanophotonics, particularly related to the design and characterization of nanoarchitectures (e.g., nanoarrays or multilayers) to control the emission efficiency from quantum emitters.
* A good level of written and spoken English.
* Optical setups know-how and optical spectroscopy background.
