About the role
Inside the R&D function, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, modifying, and releasing the Bill of Material for new products under development and maintenance production. The Bill of Material Specialist will utilize detailed drawings information, reference models, product specifications, and modules and collaborate with the Project Leader to create codes of components. These structure and operation routings make up the Manufacturing BOM.
In detail, you will:
1. Build and support bill of material structure within the MRP environment (Material Requirements Planning system) and work with the Engineering Design group to support BOM configuration.
2. Create and define items within the MRP system environment to be used for bill of materials.
3. Collect and analyze all technical details needed to perform new or maintenance products from a material point of view.
4. Interface with other functions (supply chain, purchasing, manufacturing engineering, quality, etc.) to release the technical documentation.
5. Get involved in standardization and continuous improvement in the BOM process.
Experiences & Qualifications
1. Ideally, a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in handling bill of material aspects.
2. High school diploma, preferably in a technical field.
3. Experience with any ERP system would be a plus.
4. Understanding of manufacturing processes would be a plus.
5. Experience with Microsoft Office suite (MS Office, Outlook, Excel, and Teams).
6. Good English language level – written and spoken.
