Service and Commissioning Engineer The Service & Commissioning Engineer commissions, maintains, calibrates and repairs AVL products, usually on customer’s site. He/ She delivers professional and customer-oriented services according to defined processes and contributes to continuous improvement of products and services by providing feedback (e.g. CESAR, FSM reports, 8D-Reports, service reports, feedback provided to quality/business units). Responsibilities Contribute to achieving maximum customer satisfaction (by professional performance, appropriate customer communication and taking care of customer requests) Support achieving high and sustainable profitability (by efficient working) Support increasing the service business (by forwarding information on cross-selling potential and leads to responsible persons) Help continuously improving AVL’s market position, product quality and affected AVL processes (by delivering high quality service and providing feedback to the management and quality) Prepare and support the preparation of (own) activities Check of system installation and safety chains Calibration of measurement chains and verification of overall system function as well as perform corrective and preventive maintenance based in available guidelines Documentation of results and services performed by using defined templates (calibration protocols, service reports) and archiving (backup) of system settings Handover system to the customer together with the project leader Documentation of executed tasks (via CESAR or FSM report) Report Quality issues for future improvements (product & process) User Support Service/analyze customer’s requests and handle/solve them (depending on skill level) Provide useful feedback on optimization potentials, customers, products and services to management, support organization, product and quality management Execution of tasks according to training & documents (if available acc. prepared CPL work package) Communicate with customer and achieve customer satisfaction by high quality work and keeping commitment Act in accordance with AVL’s processes including improvement processes Meet with project team prior and after commissioning Require Support from Commissioning Support Center or similar 2nd Level support Trigger of continues improvements (8D-Reports, AVP) Escalate service issues in case of missing information or other uncertainties to the dedicated skill team leader Observe AVL's and customers safety regulations Profile Technical education in electrics or mechanics - depending on the country Permission to work on electrical installations and systems (if applicable) Secondary technical college/ university of applied sciences/ university of technology graduate, apprenticeship with experience or comparable High quality awareness and adequate execution exactness as well as troubleshooting and analytic skills English skills (B2 or higher, AVL Skills Rating level 2) We offer Homeoffice.
