We host the Navigations Air Systems (NAS) domain in Gorgonzola, Italy. This domain is responsible for avionics, navigation, and radar systems for civil air traffic and technologies supporting civilian and military pilots, ATC controllers, and technicians worldwide.
Main Responsibilities
We are looking for a project manager to oversee customer projects in the domain of Airspace Mobility Solutions (NAVAIDS and NonRadar Surveillance). The successful candidate will be accountable for sales, costs, cash, and project quality responsibility, ensuring customer satisfaction is achieved.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Project Planning and Execution: Ensure all necessary planning, execution, and acceptance activities are completed throughout the delivery of the project.
* Representation of Thales Interests: Represent Thales interests within the assigned area of responsibility.
* Contract Analysis and Implementation: Analyze contract content and implement it in delivery and service packages.
* Project Management: Create and update project baselines, cost and time schedules, manage external suppliers, create and maintain project documentation using Thales internal process instructions and tools.
* Negotiations and Customer Management: Conduct negotiations with local subcontractors regarding project-related subcontracting and construction work in cooperation with the purchasing department, manage customer requests and contract changes to closure, define and manage all elements required to successfully deliver the project.
* Lessons Learned and Feedback: Execute lessons learned from the project delivery and corresponding feedback to departments.
* Participation in Offers and Assessments: Participate in offers, create schedules, cost and risk assessments.
Requirements:
* Education: Engineering degree or equivalent qualification, Certification IPMA or PMI project manager (or comparable).
* Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional experience in project management in an international business environment, proven experience in stress management, proficient in using planning tools (MS Project and Excel), spreadsheet, as well as typical office applications.
* Languages: Very good language skills in English and Spanish, spoken and written, knowledge of Italian language is a must, other languages desirable.
* Social Competencies: Independence and creativity in solving problems, project team leadership skills, lateral leadership, negotiation experience and strength in dealing with international customers, willingness to travel worldwide.
