As a Lead Data Architect, you will help design Sky’s Big Data architecture, driving key decisions on adopting the latest generation of technologies and developing a new cutting-edge Data Analytics platform. You will collaborate with Sky stakeholders to understand company needs, designing and evolving the data platform accordingly and working closely with agile teams, enabling Sky to get the best insights out of the data. Skills/experience: Excellent problem-solving skills, mastering new complex areas, able to find new solutions to solve unconventional problems. Strong experience with Big Data tools (Hadoop, Map-reduce, Spark, Apache Beam); Strong experience with both NoSQL and SQL databases; Strong experience with OO programming (Java, Python, C++, …); Strong experience with Cloud-based infrastructures (AWS, Azure, GCP); Experience with data security and data governance; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar technical field. Soft Skills: Capability to explain or advocate solutions to a varied audience not always technical, both in English and Italian. Entrepreneurial approach to problems focusing on the business value of the solutions. Proven experience in leading a technical team will be a plus.
