TEST LABORATORY ENGINEER
Purpose of the Job
Carry out type, validation, or investigation tests, and prepare reports.
Define and implement the most appropriate testing methodology and means of testing.
Develop test operating modes and analyze test results.
Position in the Organisation
Hierarchical and Functional: Reports to the Test Laboratory Manager.
Network Links
Internal Interfaces: Project Validation Manager, TTL – Test team Leader, Validation Engineers, Test Laboratory Manager, Test Engineers.
External Interfaces: Subcontractors, Test laboratories.
Responsibilities
Accountable for:
Defining the most appropriate test methodology, testing means, and developing the test operating mode in accordance with the cost, time, and pass-fail criterion set for the test.
Responsible for:
Preparing the execution of the tests.
Participating in the design and development of the tools necessary for performing the tests.
Implementing, verifying (functional), and ensuring compliance (calibration) of the measuring equipment to be ready at the time of the test.
Preparing the equipment for testing and validating that the applied configuration and prerequisite testing allow the testing to proceed.
Respecting EHS rules, notably implementing LockOut-TagOut instruction.
Supervising and/or executing test activities, analyzing test results “live” and deciding if the test must be redone or not.
Writing static and dynamic test reports based on test results data analysis.
Job Specifications
Knowledge Experience:
Experience in ISO 17025 is advantageous.
Mechanical/Electro-technical/Electrical knowledge.
Tests organization capability and knowledge of planning tools.
Fluent in English.
